And then when they try to resell their house and it doesn't have a garage, it'll ruin the value!

I just spent a small fortune getting my garage in working order — this is heresy

One of the stipulations of my first house when I get a full-time job is a garage, at least a small one so I’ll have somewhere to store my “fun” car when I get one!

This brings up one of my many pet peeves. Im sure like me, many of you guys like to peak into open garages when driving down a neighborhood. It drives me nuts when I see them overflowing with useless junk, yet they’re cars are left sitting in the driveway or street.

My aunt turned her detached garage into a bakery for her small business. At first I thought it was foolish because she has two Minis that she just leaves parked in her driveway now, but god damn is she good at baking.

Especially if its a two car garage and still doesn’t have any cars or tools in it. Just useless junk.

My garage neighbor has two cars and street parks both of them and fills their garage with junk. It is maddening.

Something like that seems more justifiable. An office can go anywhere but a bakery has more physical requirements.

The people who used to own my house turned the garage into a glass blowing studio. Took the garage door off and walled it in and built a fence around the whole yard so you can’t even drive to it. Granted, they had two ginormous SUVs and the garage was built for much smaller vehicles, but it's still pretty annoying.

Like this? I see this house almost every day and its hard not to throw up... Look at that poor “garage”...

While annoying I can understand something like that more than sacrificing a garage for a home office. An office can go anywhere, like a closet.

Kinda hard to see in that pic, but it looks packed!

I just can’t believe that people put in regular doors on a garage just so a car can’t fit through it. It looks atrocious!

I can only imagine what is in there based on the unkempt yard, trash on the front porch, and the Grand Prix out front.

Oh wow, I completely over looked that. My HOA, as much as I hate them, doesn’t allow that. A garage has to be left as originally built.

What the hell kind of closets do you have in your house?!

I’m talking about something like this. My wife is a writer and wants me to turn our bedroom closet into something like this where she can shut herself in and close the world out when she writes.

Thank the Lord for this. Regular doors in place of garage doors are atrocious.

True. But my house only has one closet, so I can see the office argument too.

It’s mostly annoying living somewhere that snow and hail are so common. Thankfully I can drive my fiat onto the front porch in emergency situations.
